Decide what data to collect D#5HW#6

The activities pertaining to my research is eating beef and cattle abuse. Observing a sick cow or human infected with the disease would help me with my research. I couldn't participate in getting the disease nor would I want to, I do however eat beef all the time so I can relate that experience. Talking to experts would help, because they know about the disease first hand. However, I could probably gain just as much information surfing the net as i could talking to people, because people don't always tell the truth, and plus, people that have this disease are already dead. The only survey i could think of would be one about meat eaters. This survey was already done and i plan on using it in my paper already.

  1. It looks like you are responding to the questions. I don't think that you will have any trouble composing your paragraphs.

  2. I agree that surfing the web would be more beneficial than interviewing someone in person because you can acquire more info that way and your source would be more authoritative.

  3. this is a cool topic, and i don't even eat meat. I haven't read your 1st draft yet but i will right now. I think you make a good point about people not telling the truth, so internet info will probably do you just as good.

  4. I think you could conduct a survey and ask meat eaters if they are scared to contract this disease and then present that as a statistic like a certain percentage of beef eaters aren't afraid of getting mad cow disease. Maybe also ask them if they know the extent of the abuse that happens to the cows and present that in the same way. That would be interesting to know and it would be coming straight from this region of the country.
